Just like our standard fork-length trucks, our short fork pallet trucks are ideal for the horizontal transport of palletised goods, are easy to operate, and require minimal ongoing maintenance.
Unlike other models with a standard fork length of 1150mm, our short pallet jacks feature fork lengths between 600mm and 1000mm, depending on the model. This makes them ideal for use in confined spaces with limited turning and manoeuvring options such as compact storage rooms, overseas containers or narrow corridors. Short fork pallet jacks also have a smaller turning radius, offering greater manoeuvrability, and are also ideal for transport in trucks or vans.
At Jungheinrich PROFISHOP, you can buy short fork pallet trucks from the brands Jungheinrich and Ameise®, available in various configurations.
The fork length and the fork carrying width determine how and with what dimensions loads can be accommodated.
All the short and narrow pallet jacks in our range are suitable for handling special format pallets such as display pallets, half pallets, and quarter pallets (CHEP pallets), as well as general cargo such as cartons or boxes:
We also offer pallet jacks with short forks and a special fork load width in the Jungheinrich AM 22 model series. In contrast to models with a standard fork load width (520–540mm), these variants offer a load width of 680mm. With these short fork pallet trucks, pallets can also be picked up crosswise. Embossed markings on these models indicate the exact position pallets can be picked up and transported.
Our short pallet jacks have a maximum load capacity of 1500kg to 2200kg, depending on the model. For safe operation, it is essential to take the load capacity of the respective model into account and never exceed it.
When making your selection, you should therefore consider possible peak load conditions in addition to regular load requirements. Additionally, the load centre distance should be observed and the weight should always be evenly distributed. You can find more information on this in our guide "Carrying capacity for industrial trucks – Dimensioning loads correctly“.
All our pallet trucks with short forks are equipped with two steering wheels and at least two fork rollers. Alternatively, you can also buy models with tandem fork rollers. These make it easier to move loads on uneven surfaces or over speed bumps. In addition, the load weight is distributed better on double rollers, which means that loads can be moved with greater smoothness and stability. This also reduces the wear and tear on the individual rollers.
Depending on the operating and environmental conditions, you can also choose the tyre material for the swivel and fork castors on many of our models. We offer castors made of the following materials:
In addition to the shortened fork length, these hand pallet trucks offer a particularly low entry height of only 51mm and very flat forks. This allows pallets and other drive-under load carriers to be lowered almost to ground level. Just like our other short fork pallet trucks with a standard entry height, these models can also accommodate display, half, and quarter pallets, in addition to low disposable pallets and flat pallets with a reduced entry height.
Since the ground clearance of these short pallet trucks is very low, their use is recommended for flat, smooth surfaces only.
To make it even easier and more convenient to pick, move, and lower goods, some of our short pallet jackets are equipped with additional practical features. These features include:
